We’re looking for a Production Manager with the experience, confidence and attention to detail needed to thrive in a fast paced environment.
TCR is a specialty machine shop that’s always striving to improve. We need a machine shop Production Manager that is a self-starter with the ability to effectively manage the top talent in the industry.
What We’re Looking For
- 8-10 years as a non-union Machine Shop Manager
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Success leading and motivating a diverse team
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Manufacturing
- Machine scheduling experience in a small/medium lot with extensive set-ups
- Has led operators in maintaining equipment condition for ultimate production
- Experience maximizing efficiency
- 5-10 years as a CNC machinist (Mill & Lathe) with strong boring mill skills
- Ability to perform the essential functions of a CNC or manual machinist
- Experience programming CNC machinery, both manually and with CAM
- Experience developing tooling and production fixtures
- Strong knowledge of product design, materials, parts and fabrication processes
- Advanced math and computer skills - Word, Outlook, MS Projects and Excel.
What You’d Do
- Serve as first line manager responsible for hiring, training, promoting, supervising and evaluating machinists
- Work closely with Purchasing, Production Control, Quality and Engineering
- Assure that cost and quality objectives are met
- Maintain ISO 9001 and other quality programs
- Implement “On the Job Training" for all employees to his/her department.
- Create a high morale workplace with the highest quality standards.
- Drive the continuous improvement process in the Machine Shop
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business
