How Prototype Machining Should Be Done

Products don’t appear out of thin air. Ideas happen first.

At TCR Inc, (an ISO 9001:2015 ABS #54215 certified shop), we use proven and up to date processes to turn your idea into a cost-effective prototype. Here’s how.

Start With The End In Mind

The final step is production. You own the idea. We’re here to make it affordable.

If you’re not sure what you’ll need, let TCR help.

Instead of taking it straight to the machines, we take the time to understand the part and where it’s going and what is does.

Our goal is to create a perfect prototype on our first try; a part that not only meets specs but is easier to machine. We want to save you money on production runs and will use our decades of machining and field experience to make it happen.

Be Willing To Do It Multiple Times

After we’ve shared our recommendations, we’ll machine your Prototype. You will provide the tolerance ranges, and we will provide a customized inspection document so you can determine if the fit is going to work.

Our team will make as many modifications as you need to ensure success in the field.

If you change your mind or run into a new obstacle, that’s okay. We’ll be your partner throughout the prototype machining process.

And Get It Right

Prototypes don’t happen overnight. It took a tremendous effort to get this far.

We’re going to make a prototype that meets specs and machine it in a way that reduces production costs because we want your project to succeed.

Typical turn around time for a medium-sized part is only four to six weeks. If you’re ready to start the process, Contact TCR Today!
